People from the town and it's surrounding district have been coming to Alnwick Markets for hundreds of years to buy and sell and exchange news with traders and acquaintances. On Market days you can buy local produce, find a bargain and enjoy the genial atmosphere in the Market Place. It is a way of life for many local people who come each week and for visitors it can be an enjoyable part of your day out in Alnwick. Every Saturday: 9am - 4pm Thursdays: 9am - 4pm (April - December) Farmers Markets: 9am - 2pm (on the last Friday of every month except the Friday before Christmas) The scheme, run by North East England Farmers’ Markets (NEEFM), offers individuals the chance to volunteer with the market and gain a greater understanding of local food producers. For an annual subscription of £10, members of the scheme will receive quarterly newsletters about food events, along with VIP invitations to visit producers.
