Alnwick Christmas Market

Event date: December 7, 2019 - December 7, 2019

Alnwick welcomes back it’s annual Christmas Market on the 7th December in Alnwick Market Square and the Northumberland Hall. Enjoy a browse around our fabulous selection of arts, crafts, clothing, fashion, jewellery, artisan gins, mulled wine, street food and local produce stalls. During the day we will have Santa making his rounds, there will be kids activities in the Hall and plenty of music from our local bands including traditional carol singers and Alnwick Playhouse Big Band.

We are also delighted to welcome back Barnacre Alpacas, the kids and adults love seeing them at the market!

Grab a coffee and enjoy the atmosphere.

The Christmas Market opens at 9am and concludes at 4pm.



  • Geordie Bangers

    The Geordie Banger Company is a local family business (3rd generation butchering family) that sells hand crafted sausages with a Geordie twist.

  • Taste of Northumbria

    Taste of Northumbria is located in Alnwick Market Square. For this event they are joining us on the stalls where you can view a wide selection of their gins, rums and more!

  • Box on Traders

    Boxed Traders provide ethical handmade cuddly toys, key rings and play mobiles. Such a pretty stall to visit with an abundance of colourful teddies to keep the little ones amused.

  • Charred Wood

    Charred Wood sources & shapes wood & adds a handmade design by scorching the wood for a unique and striking finish. Based in & inspired by Northumberland. Make great gifts, especially for Fathers Day. Here today at Alnwick Markets.

  • The Chirnells Farmhouse Kitchen

    The Chirnells Farmhouse Kitchen produces all types of bread, biscuits, a variety of cakes, cupcakes and scones.

    Located in the heart of the Coquet Valley, Greenbrae produce beef, lamb, mutton and rarebreed pork, where the animals are born on the farm and reared using age old techniques.

    Northumberland Cheese Company are regular traders at Alnwick Market. There's so many of their handmade artisan cheeses that have won awards. My favourite is the Nettle Cheese - you can try before you buy too!

    Judy has some gorgeous bags and her best seller waterproof foldable backpacks are back in Alnwick. A keen eye for the latest trends, Judy provides her customers with plenty of choice.

    This delicious recipe, together with more recent inventions of Damson Liqueur (Gin), Raspberry Liqueur (Vodka) and Cherry Liqueur (Brandy) are produced naturally at Lorbottle West Steads and contain no artificial additives of any kind.
