Well School is finally out and we have a cracking line up of traders at our 3 DAY Market this week. The weather may have been a bit poor lately, but that’s all set to change (one can hope).
Alnwick Town dates to about AD 600, the market place itself retains it’s charm and character with the old buildings and newly renovated Northumberland Hall, it’s cobbled paths and quaint cafes. It’s a hub of activity on market days and a great place to meet people and simply enjoy the atmosphere.
This week, it’s certainly going to be busy.
Some of our Traders will be attending all three markets which are scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Friday is our Monthly Farmer’s & Craft Market, a selection of local northumbrian produce, ranging from game meats, pies, scotch eggs, sausages, cheeses, jams, chutneys, confectionery and artisan breads & pastries. Recently named top 20 Farmers Market in the UK, if you are visiting the area, do call in!
Our Thursday & Saturday Markets have a fantastic selection of fresh local produce, hot food, crepes, delicious treats and a wide range of arts, crafts and soft furnishings.
A full list of our Traders will be published later on this week and we will be showcasing some of them via our Face Book and Twitter feeds. Make sure you are following us.
We are open from 9am – 4pm, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Join us on Friday the 21st December in Alnwick Market Square for our last monthly Farmers & Craft Market of 2018. We have some fabulous traders selling fresh local produce, fruit, veg, game pies, sausages, cheese, lamb, mutton and not forgetting the tasty sweet treats too!
Don't forget to wander around the town this WEEKEND. The Food Festival spills out into Bondgate Within and Narrowgate. Over 50 traders at this year's Food Festival and with plenty of LIVE MUSIC, entertainment and treats to purchase!
Based in Northumberland Hayley provides massage services to a wide variety of clients across Northumberland and the North East. This month’s recipe uses Northumberland game from Hadrian’s Larder, notably Pheasant Legs. Game from Northumberland is some of the best available, having a perfect natural habitat for species to thrive. The gamekeepers and estate managers across the county do a great job in managing the population of game which can then be used to provide wonderfully lean, tasty produce for us all to enjoy.
